I spent a week watching my niece and nephew while the parents went on vacation. I soon realized (the first night) that I had no control at all!!!! So I sent Codi out to play. Soon Codi come running in the house....Aunt Kel Aunt Kel there's a porcupine in the chicken coop!!!!!... I get the kids to a safe spot and go see what is going on. Sure enough the dogs have something cornered by the chicken coop. Lucy the Lab and Beagle mix ( yes I said that right) is barking at something and very pissed off. Bear the cow dog is hoovering close by and Huckleberry the 450.00 hound dog is running for the house. (money well spent on a hunting dog). I pull out my trusty cell phone and call the parents.... Hey Shy, theres a porcupine in the chicken coop. What do I do?... Shy says to get the dogs out of there, Then I have to take the broom and get it out of there.... OK, I get the dogs in the house and come back with a HOE!!! Iam pretty smart when it comes to wild animals!!! Shy is still on the phone. I walk over there to see its little head poke out. Well hell its a baby raccoon I say to Shy.... What oh shit Aunt Kel! Get it out of there!!....Well I was clam until the tone of urgency comes over the phone... Soooo, I step in front of this cute little baby raccoon to see that the thing is actually the biggest ROCKCHUCK I ever seen...OH MY GOD, ITS A ROCKCHUCK!!! What yells Shy over the phone... ITS A ROCKCHUCK!!! is that a faint snicker going on over that phone line?.....I put the hoe behide this thing to pull it out and the damn thing comes flying out at me circling my legs three times ( and yes I did count the times while screaming , ITS FUCKING HUGE ITS FUCKING HUGE!!!!!) I now hear all out laughing going on over the phone ,not just mom but dad and friends with parents as well. I also hear a little voice on the porch yelling SHOOT IT AUNT KEL, SHOOT IT!!!! Well the thing goes running into the horse pasture.Moms on the phone trying hard not to laugh more and asking if I am OK....Assholes!!! Yes Iam just fine. And you better not tell anyone what just happened here!!! OK, I wont. So I get off the phone and Codi comes running to tell me that I should have gotten Daddy"s gun and shot it!!! Ya, right! Come to find out Shy had the speaker on the phone for everyone in KFC to hear, and Little Codi tells everyone for the next week what happened!!! Nice real nice.
